    Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation Tartaglia Communications, LLC has been named to support public relations for the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation’s Science Program. Intel co-founder Gordon and his wife Betty established the foundation to create positive change for future generations around the world and at home in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Moore Foundation is headquartered in Palo Alto, California.

    LLC, has won the 2012 HPRMS Award for Excellence in Public Relations – the only public relations professional to receive the award this year. The award was given at HPRMS’ annual dinner, held June 19 at the headquarters of The New York Times.

    The award is given annually by the Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society of Greater New York (HPRMS) to an individual whose work has had a major positive impact on a health care organization. Tartaglia received the award for his success in getting ongoing major media coverage for Neurological Surgery, P.C. (NSPC), a leading neurosurgical private practice serving greater New York.

The DVD is accompanied by an educational kit produced with the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), which addresses the emotional side of cancer with coping and lifestyle tips for patients, caregivers and survivors.

    Bull Dog Awards The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Brookhaven National Laboratory and Tartaglia Communications have won two Bulldog Awards for Excellence in Media and Public Relations for a publicity initiative that brought worldwide media attention to 2010 research results from the Lab’s Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). Tartaglia Communications is Brookhaven Lab’s public relations agency of record. RHIC, which has made a number of major discoveries about the nature of the universe, is one of the world’s largest and most scientifically advanced particle colliders.
